Join Beatson Cancer Charity as an Income Data and Insights Analyst and play a vital role in enhancing our impact and driving informed decisions through high-quality data insights.
Who is Beatson Cancer Charity?
At Beatson Cancer Charity their focus is to support and enhance the treatment, care and wellbeing of current, former and future cancer patients and their families. Supporting people affected by cancer, every step of the way, making the journey easier by transforming the way cancer care is funded and delivered. Working in partnership with the NHS, The Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre and all related facilities. Beatson provide services, as well as funding specialists, research and education to invest in a better future for cancer patients and their families. As well as offering the wider community a unique opportunity to contribute to the fight against cancer in the broadest possible sense.
What You’ll Do as an Income Data and Insights Analyst:
As the Income Data and Insights Analyst, you will play a crucial role in shaping how we understand and optimise our fundraising performance. Sitting within the Finance and Corporate Services directorate, you will take the lead in administering and developing the Accessgroup CRM database, working closely with the Business Support Manager and liaising with suppliers as required to ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance across all systems and teams.
You will be responsible for producing high-quality management reports and dashboards that provide accurate, timely insight into income generation activities. Your analysis will help identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement, supporting teams across the organisation to make informed decisions.
This role will also see you develop and embed best practices in data governance and reporting, support internal training on CRM usage, and act as a key liaison for data-related projects and requests. You’ll work collaboratively across departments to ensure data insight is embedded at every level, empowering teams to monitor, evaluate and enhance their performance.
What You’ll Gain as an Income Data and Insights Analyst:
This is a role that offers both personal and professional rewards. You’ll be at the heart of a mission-driven organisation, using your data expertise to help drive tangible, positive change for people affected by cancer. Every report you produce, every dashboard you create, and every insight you uncover will contribute to a deeper understanding of the work Beatson perform and a stronger, more sustainable future for the charity.
You’ll be joining a friendly and committed team that values your contribution, supports your growth, and encourages innovation. Whether you’re developing new reporting systems, advising teams on data best practices, or improving our use of technology, you’ll have the opportunity to lead, shape and influence how data supports our vision.
What is needed from you:
The role requires a highly motivated, detail-oriented professional with proven experience in data management and analysis. You should have a strong working knowledge of CRM systems—ideally Accessgroup—and advanced skills in Excel. Experience using data visualisation tools like Power BI is desirable, and you’ll be confident producing regular reports and dashboards for a variety of stakeholders.
A solid understanding of GDPR and data protection legislation is essential, along with the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical, operational context. You’ll need excellent organisational and communication skills, the ability to explain data insights clearly, and a proactive approach to solving problems.
You’ll be someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, works well under pressure, and is passionate about using data for good. An empathetic, thoughtful manner and commitment to the values and ethos of Beatson Cancer Charity will be key to your success in this role.
This is more than a data role – it’s an opportunity to make a real impact in people’s lives through meaningful, insight-led work. If you’re ready to take the next step in your career while supporting a cause that matters, we’d love to hear from you.
