About Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance

Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance (SCAA) exists to ensure that no one in Scotland suffers or loses their life due to delays in receiving medical assistance. Illnesses and accidents can happen anywhere, at any time. However, there are areas in Scotland where urgent medical help cannot reach people quickly enough—and in life-threatening situations, every minute counts.

As a charity, SCAA depends on the generosity of the Scottish public, businesses, and communities to ensure that critical medical support reaches patients wherever and whenever it is needed.

SCAA is now looking to appoint an experienced HR professional with strong interpersonal skills, capable of providing advice and guidance to colleagues at all levels within the organisation.

What We Are Looking For

As part of a growing charity, this role offers a broad remit and the chance to shape HR practices in alignment with our mission. We are looking for someone with a recognised HR qualification and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate will ensure that all relevant policies and procedures are current and effectively implemented. Familiarity with updating policies and making recommendations to senior managers is essential, as this is a hands-on, operational role. Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills are crucial, as the role involves liaising with colleagues, the Executive team, Trustees, and other key contacts within the organisation. Additionally, the candidate will develop and maintain relationships with employment law advisors and other external professionals.

The successful candidate will also support payroll matters, manage sensitive and confidential information, and produce and present a variety of reports. This includes analysis of areas such as absence, staff turnover, recruitment campaign effectiveness, and overall staff performance and wellbeing.

We are inviting candidates from the private, public and third sector who meet the above criteria.

If you are excited by all you have read so far, then please contact BTA today.
