Position: Head of Fundraising

Leuchie is seeking a strategic, ambitious, and highly motivated Head of Fundraising to lead its fundraising team, drive income growth, and secure the resources required to deliver exceptional care for people with neurological conditions and their families. This senior, externally facing role is central to the organisation’s ambitious growth plans and its mission to make a lasting impact on the lives of those they support.

As Head of Fundraising, you will have the opportunity to help shape and lead Leuchie’s fundraising strategy, managing a talented team across major gifts, corporate partnerships, events, community fundraising, and supporter engagement. You will play a pivotal role in developing a diversified, sustainable income stream, maximising opportunities across all channels, and ensuring that Leuchie’s supporters feel valued, informed, and connected to its mission.
What will you do as Head of Fundraising?
You will provide strategic leadership for Leuchie’s fundraising function, ensuring that all income-generating activity aligns with organisational priorities and ambitions. You will lead, inspire, and develop a team of fundraising professionals, while maintaining strong relationships with key donors, partners, and stakeholders. Key responsibilities include:

Fundraising Strategy: Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive fundraising strategy aligned with Leuchie’s organisational goals and ambitions.
Income Growth: Drive growth across individual giving, major gifts and legacies, corporate partnerships, community fundraising, and events, ensuring a diversified and sustainable income mix.
Opportunity Identification: Identify, develop, and secure new fundraising opportunities to maximise income potential and expand Leuchie’s supporter base.
Digital Fundraising & Supporter Engagement: Champion digital fundraising initiatives and enhance supporter journeys to improve engagement, retention, and income generation.
Team Leadership & Development: Lead, manage, and inspire the fundraising team, fostering a high-performing, collaborative, and continuously learning culture.
Financial Planning & Budgeting: Develop cost-effective budgets, monitor performance against targets, and maximise return on investment for fundraising activities.
Impact Reporting & Analysis: Provide clear, insightful reporting on fundraising performance, income generation, and impact to senior leadership and the Board.
What does Leuchie need from you?
1. Experience:
• Proven record of delivering ambitious fundraising strategies and achieving income targets.
• Extensive experience across multiple fundraising streams, including individual giving, major gifts and legacies, corporate partnerships, community fundraising, and events.
• Demonstrated ability to build, manage, and steward high-value donor and partner relationships.
• Experience in developing compelling cases for support and successful funding proposals.
• Strong leadership experience, managing and motivating fundraising teams to deliver results.
• Financial management experience, including budget creation, monitoring, and ROI analysis.
• Proficiency with fundraising CRM systems (preferably Raiser’s Edge) and data-driven decision-making.
• Experience adapting strategy in response to changing external trends and opportunities.
