Corporate Fundraiser – Join Beatson Cancer Charity and Make a Difference!

Are you passionate about making a positive impact on people’s lives? Are you driven by the desire to help those affected by cancer? Join Beatson Cancer Charity as a Corporate Fundraiser and become an essential part of our mission to provide life-changing care and support to cancer patients and their families.

Who are we?

At Beatson Cancer Charity we support and enhance the treatment, care and wellbeing of current, former and future cancer patients and their families. We support people affected by cancer, every step of the way, making the journey easier by transforming the way cancer care is funded and delivered. We work in partnership with the NHS, The Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre and all related facilities. We provide services, as well as funding specialists, research and education to invest in a better future for cancer patients and their families. We also offer the wider community a unique opportunity to contribute to the fight against cancer in the broadest possible sense.

What You’ll Do as a Corporate Fundraiser:

As a Corporate Fundraiser, your primary focus will be on building and managing partnerships between Beatson Cancer Charity and businesses. These partnerships are the lifeblood of our fundraising efforts, and your role will be to establish and nurture long-term, mutually beneficial relationships. You'll work closely with companies to secure donations, event sponsorships, and other forms of support that directly benefit the charity’s mission. Whether sourcing new partnerships or maintaining existing ones, you'll be instrumental in ensuring businesses understand the difference their support makes in the lives of those affected by cancer.

Beyond developing relationships, you'll also have a hands-on role in generating income to meet ambitious fundraising targets. By creating compelling proposals and campaigns, you will help ensure we have the necessary funds to continue providing our crucial services. In return, businesses partnering with us will gain the opportunity to develop their skills, enhance their brand recognition, and align their corporate social responsibility goals with a cause that truly matters.

What You’ll Gain as a Corporate Fundraiser:

Being a Corporate Fundraiser at Beatson Cancer Charity offers a rewarding and fulfilling career. Here’s what you can expect:

Becoming a Corporate Fundraiser offers more than just a job—it’s an opportunity for personal and professional growth. As you build new connections and expand your professional network, you’ll also develop invaluable skills in relationship-building, negotiation, and strategic fundraising. Most importantly, you’ll gain the immense satisfaction of knowing that your work is directly impacting people’s lives. Helping to provide vital support for those living with cancer will give you a sense of pride and purpose that few roles can offer.

What we need from you:

  • Passion for the Cause – Passion helps you connect emotionally with stakeholders and motivates you to push for success. You need to be able to inspire donors and corporate partners with a genuine enthusiasm for Beatson’s mission and its impact on cancer care.
  • Proven Success in Fundraising or Sales Roles - you have successfully managed partnerships, exceeded financial targets, and handled stakeholder relationships.
  • Experience in a Fast-Paced Environment – Corporate fundraising often requires quick turnarounds and the ability to adapt to changing priorities. Experience in fast-paced, target-driven environments shows you can manage pressure and deliver results under tight timelines.
  • Goal-Driven & Results-Oriented – a goal-oriented mindset helps you stay focused, push through challenges, and drive performance, ensuring consistent funding for Beatson’s initiatives.
  • Event Planning or Sponsorship Experience (Beneficial) – Whilst not a necessity it shows you can handle logistical challenges, engage corporate partners, and maximize visibility for sponsors.

Why Join Us:

At Beatson Cancer Charity, we believe in the power of partnerships. The relationships we build with our corporate supporters are at the heart of our ability to deliver care, research, and support services to those facing cancer. By joining our team, you’ll be stepping into a role where your hard work and passion will have a direct impact on people’s lives every day.

This is more than a job – it’s an opportunity to be part of something bigger. If you’re ready to make a difference and thrive in a fast-paced, rewarding environment, we’d love to hear from you!
